Sunday at 4 pm SLT it's Swing Time at Venus Beach II. Bea will provide some helpful hints on attire as we get closer, and I'm pretty sure I'll once again miss the point by a few decades.
Our resident rideable dolphin Flapper was present for much of Sunday's Mermaid event, but apparently couldn't figure out how to push the "join" button. Surfer swam away with top honors in an original homemade mix and match outfit. On Thursday, Shy won the Being There competition without really understanding it other than--literally--being there.
The previous Sunday we had yet another three-way, as Bea, Rosita and Surfer tied for Best in Silks. The prior Thursday, Rosita was Best in Animal Prints.
Lots of chances for you to join us for some tunes, dancing and giggles this week--twice Thursday, early Friday, twice each Saturday and Sunday. There'll be a new schedule at VBII starting next week--look for it.

Lots of interesting and colorful activity at VBII lately.
Some of the recent contest winners include...The A Team (Always and Avion) Best in Tats on May 30, Bea was Best in Rainbow at the Gay Pride event June 2, Always was Best in Little Black Dress on June 6, and there was a three-way (is that troilism?) tie for Best in Party Dress on June 9 with honors shared by Bea, Sacha and Sunbeam.
Other fun stuff, too, including a cameo appearance by our frisky friend Flapper, the rideable dolphin.

Sometime around 12 noon SLT on Thursday, June 6, the 10,000th visitor thunked down in the VBII landing area. Alas, that mystery visitor didn't click "yes" when asked if we could display her picture, so we'll never know just who it was.
True, 10,000 is "just a number." But, it's also a fitting tribute to all the efforts put forth by Laura and Avion in creating the finest women's community in Second Life.
