They Say It's Your Birthday, It's Our Birthday, Too

Next Sunday is our birthday celebration: Canada, America and, most important, Venus Beach II. Put on birthday or national attire and join DJ Avion for VBII's inclusive fifth birthday anniversary.

Last evening Avion changed the pace with a lovely set of soft rock when we met at Ella's. In close voting, JoAnn was deemed to have the Best Party Dress.

 

DJ Bea mixes up the genres at her 9 am Monday Dance Party. Today's set "was seeded with Joss Stone's 'Soul Sessions' album, and grew eclectically from that."

DJ JoAnn lights up Monday evenings with hits and some terrific tunes that might be new to you. Join us at 5 pm SLT as she spins more from the '80s, and next week she promises more of "DJ JoAnn's Favorites."

DJ Avion continues her new stream of often-beachy tunes at 5 pm Tuesday when Topless Tiki Toosday makes its biweekly visit to the VBII swimming pool.

Looks like Tip Kitty is about to get leied...

Swingin' DJ Bea is back from a short break with more classic swing, this week featuring Andy Kirk, 9 pm Wednesday at Honeysuckle Rose. Swing era attire or classy casual, please. Men are welcome at this event.

DJ Surfer rocks the house at Games Night, 5 pm SLT Thursdays. Play group games with us or try out the many and varied activities in and around the Venus Beach Amusement Park.

Elegant Party Dresses at Ella's

This coming Sunday we'll swing and sway to some slightly mellower tunes befitting the supper club atmosphere of Ella's. Start digging through your vast closet; we'll be looking for Best Elegant Party Dress.

Last evening a variety of fairy tale characters gathered in the Venus Beach Public Library as Avion played cleverly-themed music. ZZ bewitched the crowd and was selected Best Fairy Tale Character in very close voting.

DJ Bea plays eclectica Monday mornings at 9 am SLT, and today promises to adhere to that (non-)theme with a bunch of "odd stuff."

Monday evening should be a special treat when we meet at 5 pm SLT for "DJ JoAnn's Favorites." You can count on hearing some things that are new to you.

This week DJ Avion takes us to Surf's Up! Tiki Bar for Topless Tiki Toosday at 5 pm SLT.

Honeysuckle Rose will be dark Wednesday night with Swingin' DJ Bea away, but she'll be back next week with more classic swing.

DJ Surfer provides the music when we gather Thursdays at 5 pm SLT for Games Night.
