Last Sunday evening we dressed for the cold of VB's wintry Venus Freeze to afford some respite from the northern summer heat, and danced to the cool tunes of DJ Avion.

The Twelve Labours of ... Tinker Bell?

For this week's Celtic Sunrise at 5 am SLT, DJ Qntal will repeat Love Songs and Lingerie on the Big Bed at Venus Bean, after last week's difficulties with internet outages. Last week, DJ Shelly played a lovely set of music on the same theme, sadly missed by guests unable to attend.

DJ Bea plays an eclectic set of rock, blues and jazz on Monday mornings at 9 am SLT. This Monday, Bea says "Tomorrow we are going to time travel to 1966, and listen to four classic albums from that year, in the order in which they were released. Three of them are masterworks by the artists who released them - and some of the great albums of the age." 

DJ Cerydwen continues her journey into the best decades of contemporary music with 80s Night at 5 pm SLT Monday. Always lots of favorites, as well as music you've rarely or never heard before.

DJ Avion spins tunes old and new, by artists legendary and obscure, when we get beachy for Tiki Toosday at 5 pm SLT. We currently alternate between the VB Pool and Surf's Up, which will be the location of next Tuesday's event.

DJ Cerydwen presents Symphonic and Goth metal on Wednesdays at 5 pm SLT  in her latex and leather dungeon. Great music in a perfect setting for an oft-overlooked but compelling genre of music.

On Fridays at 5 pm SLT DJ Cerydwen plays a musical theme that often takes place in one of the special venues. This week, we dive into the Mermaid Pool where Cerydwen will will play music suitable for finny frolics - if you don't have a mermaid costume there are several freebies available for classic avatars at the pool, or swimwear will do just as well. Last week watchful orbs were upon us when we returned to Jeepers Peepers for part 2 of the "Eyes" theme.
