Star Wars Day - May The Fourth Be With You!

For this week's event at 4 pm SLT Sunday we teleport up to the Death Star to celebrate Star Wars Day, and all forms of science fiction. We have to wait until 2025 before May the Fourth falls on a Sunday, but we'll get as close as we can until then. Star Wars costumes are welcome, as is any other sort of sci-fi attire. Last week on Sunday evening we celebrated St George's Day (England's national day) in the King's Head pub where DJ Avion played music by English artists. The traditional colors of St George in red-and-white, the Union Flag and other forms, and of course a dragon slayer, dominated the clothing worn.

For this week's Celtic Sunrise at 5 am SLT, DJ Qntal will play music from artists she has seen in live performances, a remarkable and envy-worthy group. Last week Qntal presented beautiful romantic tunes for the regular end-of-month Love Songs and Lingerie on the Big Bed at Venus Bean.

DJ Bea plays an eclectic mix of rock, blues and jazz on Monday mornings at 9 am SLT. This Monday, Bea will present "another genuwine mish-mash themeless hodge-podge." Hopefully not too much podge, I'm sure we all need to watch our figures!

DJ Cerydwen continues her journey into the best decades of contemporary music with 80s Night at 5 pm SLT Monday. Lots of favorites, but always something new to discover from the decade that keeps on giving.

DJ Avion spins tunes old and new, by artists legendary and obscure, when we get beachy for Tiki Toosday at 5 pm SLT. We currently alternate between the VB Pool and Surf's Up, which will be the venue for next Tuesday's event.

DJ Cerydwen presents Symphonic and Goth metal on Wednesdays at 5 pm SLT, in her latex and leather dungeon. Great music in a perfect setting for an absorbing and compelling genre of music.

This week on Thursday at 5 pm slt we introduce a new DJ and event when DJ Sara presents a selection of soft rock tunes. Come along and lend support if you can.

On Fridays at 5 pm SLT, DJ Cerydwen presents a different weekly musical theme. This week, Cerydwen will recognize Workers Memorial Day and World Day for Safety and Health at Work, both observed annually on April 28th to raise awareness of work health and safety issues and to commemorate those killed or injured in the workplace - with a special emphasis on the dangerous profession of "Working Girls", to be held in the Moulin Rouge cabaret setting. Dress suggestions might be lady of the night, showgirl, burlesque artiste, or just come as yourself and enjoy the show. Last week Cerydwen honored World Earth Day, an annual event on April 22nd to demonstrate support for environmental protection.
