St George's Day

The King's Head British pub is the venue for this week's event at 4 pm SLT Sunday, where DJ Avion will play music by modern English artists to celebrate St George's Day, which is seen as the national day of England. No dragons will be harmed during the night!

Last week on Sunday evening we entered the giant wabbit for our annual Easter celebration where DJ Avion played music appropriate to the season. Most guests dressed for the occasion with an array of bunny-themed costumes.

For this week's Celtic Sunrise at 5 am SLT, DJ Qntal will present the regular end-of-month Love Songs and Lingerie on the Big Bed at Venus Bean. Last week Qntal presented North American Rock, covering musicians from the USA and Canada.

DJ Bea plays an eclectic mix of rock, blues and jazz on Monday mornings at 9 am SLT. This Monday, Bea says "Since it came up in chat last week, going to look at the music of Traffic - with some side jaunts."

DJ Cerydwen continues her journey into the best decades of contemporary music with 80s Night at 5 pm SLT Monday. Lots of favorites, but always something new to discover from the decade that keeps on giving.

DJ Avion spins tunes old and new, by artists legendary and obscure, when we get beachy for Tiki Toosday at 5 pm SLT. We currently alternate between Surf's Up and the VB Pool, which will be the venue for next Tuesday's event.

DJ Cerydwen presents Symphonic and Goth metal on Wednesdays at 5 pm SLT, in her latex and leather dungeon. Great music in a perfect setting for an absorbing and compelling genre of music.

On Fridays at 5 pm SLT, DJ Cerydwen presents a different weekly musical theme. This week, Cerydwen will recognize World Earth Day, an annual event on April 22nd to demonstrate support for environmental protection. Dress suggestions - Google wasn't much help, except "green" and "activewear" .... but animal skins and furs are probably not appropriate! Last week Cerydwen celebrated the imminent coming of  the northern spring by playing songs with a floral motif, a theme to which guests dressed.
