Last week on Sunday evening we headed into the deep south where DJ Avion played rockabilly and country music with a Southern flavor in the Rednekkid Bar and Grill Still. Redneck finery was to the fore!
For this week's Celtic Sunrise at 5 am SLT Sunday, DJ Qntal will play songs by Canadian musicians, in the Kamp Kanada venue. Last week, Qntal returned to her roots with a great selection of Celtic and Scottish tunes.
DJ Bea plays an eclectic mix of rock, blues and jazz on Monday mornings at 9 am SLT. This Monday Bea says "I've got a whole bunch of blues and classic rock. No theme, just a lot of rocking good tunes."
DJ Cerydwen continues her journey into the best decades of contemporary music with 80s Night at 5 pm SLT Monday. Lots of favorites, but always something new to discover from the decade that keeps on giving and surprising.
DJ Avion spins tunes old and new, by artists legendary and obscure, when we get beachy for Tiki Toosday at 5 pm SLT. We currently alternate between Surf's Up and the VB Pool, which will be the venue for next Tuesday's event.
DJ Cerydwen presents Metal Night on Wednesdays at 5 pm SLT, in her latex and leather dungeon. Great music in a perfect setting for an absorbing and compelling genre of music.
This week on Thursday at 5 pm slt, DJ Sara continues to play a great mix of rock tunes from the 1970s onwards, covering arguably the best decades of modern music.
On Fridays at 5 pm SLT, DJ Cerydwen presents a different weekly musical theme. This week we visit the environs of Victoria Railway Station to absorb the golden age of rail travel, where Cerydwen will be playing music with a train-centric theme. Dress suggestions include railway staff, engineer or simply a passenger. Last week Cerydwen presented music from Motown, covering performers signed to that record company, the origin of the "Wall of Sound".
