Bea Swings the Beach

This week we dance to the beat of the big bands on Sunday at 4 pm SLT when DJ Bea presents classic swing artists in the Honeysuckle Rose venue. Attire may be swing era, 1930s/40s, deco or just classy, but don't forget your dancing shoes!

Our celebration of Pride Month last Sunday evening saw us gather on the Village People set, many of us sporting colorful pride costumes, where we chatted and danced to DJ Avion's selection of music by LGBTQ artists.

DJ Qntal will be unavailable for this week's Celtic Sunrise at 5 am SLT on Sunday, but will return the following week. Last week Qntal presented a great selection of Celtic and medieval tunes. 

DJ Bea plays an eclectic mix of rock, blues and jazz on Monday mornings at 9 am SLT. This Monday Bea will continue "Alphabetical by artist, and featuring two major "B" artists - The Beatles and The Beach Boys".

DJ Cerydwen continues her journey into the best decades of contemporary music with 80s Night at 5 pm SLT Monday. Lots of favorites, but always something new to discover from the decade that keeps on giving and surprising.

DJ Avion spins tunes old and new, by artists legendary and obscure, when we get beachy for Tiki Toosday at 5 pm SLT. We currently alternate between Surf's Up and the VB Pool, which will be the venue for next Tuesday's event.

DJ Cerydwen presents Hard Rock and Metal Night on Wednesdays at 5 pm SLT, in her latex and leather dungeon. Great music in a perfect setting for an absorbing and compelling genre of music.

On Fridays at 5 pm SLT, DJ Cerydwen presents a different weekly musical theme. This week, Cerydwen will play music celebrating the Summer Solstice at the VenusHenge site on the northern sim. Last week Cerydwen presented"Four Chord Songs", tunes containing the four chords which comprise a large proportion of hit songs dating back centuries.
