What's new(ish) at Venus Beach II

The hill on Venus Beach has been rebuilt, and now connects to Venus Gardens via a new bridge with a cuddles bench and dance area in the middle ... great to watch the sun rise or set with a friend.

While the tunnel beneath the hill has yet to be completed, there is a new dance area - Neon Palms - in a separate cave, accessible either from the tunnel or through an entrance to the west of the waterfall.

The Java vendors in the shop have been updated, and a Lucyshoes SLink-compatible feet vendor added - so far, these have fitted all of the SLink shoes I've tried, and though not as fully-featured as SLink feet are around a third of the price. Try the demo!

Still in the shop, posting of the daily Wetherby's freebie and specials has been somewhat erratic lately, due to family commitments and social unrest in Mrs W's country of residence ... nothing for it but to swing by regularly and check for updates.

While you're there, have a look at the VB II freebie wall, a few new items made for recent events (or just for fun) have been added.

Pushbike and tandem rezzers have been placed outside the shop, on the wall facing the landing point ... not exactly style and comfort, but faster than walking! The sim crossing to Venus Gardens really messes up the riding position, so best to stay on Venus Beach until we can find something better.

And on Venus Gardens, across the water from the back of the shops, is a hippie encampment where our Mudstock 2015 event was held a couple of months ago. Perfect for embracing the laid-back hippie lifestyle, and for the more active we have a mud-slide, zip-line (from the top of the stage), windsurfer and a canoe rezzer. Mud suits and peace tattoos are there for the taking, and if you want a giggle sit on one of the tree stumps around the fire and choose "Monster" from the menu!

At the northern end of Venus Gardens an airfield has now been constructed, with two helicopters and four fixed-wing aircraft in the rezzer for anyone to use (and likely more to come), plus a freebie give-away in front of the shack.

Close by, in the north-east corner, is a second venue area where we rotate Tiki Toosday every few weeks, and is also the site of Bea McMahon's new swing club Honeysuckle Rose (Wednesdays at 6 pm slt, men ARE allowed).

Our last port of call is the amusement park, where a Strip Greedy table has been set up in the games room to add some extra spice to Games Night, now being held twice a week (Mondays and Thursdays at 5 pm slt).
