Let there be drums

Will the lion sleep tonight? Find out at 4 pm Sunday when we meet in the VBII Jungle Tree House. Come dressed as a denizen of the jungle, human or animal, and dance to tunes inspired by the sounds of the jungle.

Last evening we celebrated Venus Beach II's fifth birthday in combination with two other birthdays: Canada Day July 1, and U.S. Independence Day July 4. Dancers sported a dizzying array of birthday and national attire as Avion played triple-themed tunes. Qntal was voted Best in Birthday Suit.

DJ Bea mixes up the genres at her 9 am Monday Dance Party. This week a tribute to The Doors 45 years after Jim Morrison's death on July 3, 1971.

Monday evening at 5 pm SLT, JoAnn will once again entertain us with "DJ JoAnn's Favorites." Many of them will be yours, too.

DJ Avion takes Topless Tiki Toosday to Neon Palms on the Venus Gardens sim this Tuesday at 5 pm SLT.

Swingin' DJ Bea hosts classic swing at Honeysuckle Rose Wednesdays at 9 pm SLT, with part 2 of her Billy Holiday tribute coming up this week. Men are welcome (only at this event). Swing era attire or classy casual, please.

Games Night at 5 pm Thursdays features table games like Greedy and Strip Poker with DJ Surfer providing the music. There are dozens of other activities available at the Venus Beach Amusement Park and nearby Avions Galore airfield.
