50 Years of Mooning

This week for our featured event of the week at 4 pm SLT Sunday we "slip the surly bonds of Earth" to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first human landing on the Moon, on July 20th 1969. Suggested dress might be space suits, aliens or even cheese miners!

At our featured Sunday evening event last week, DJ Avion presented a mix of music to celebrate Canada Day, US Independence Day and Venus Beach II's birthday.

This Sunday's Celtic Sunrise at 5 am SLT will see DJ Shelly offering a mix of music in the Arabian Nights venue. Last week we foiled security and danced in the Oval Office to DJ Qntal's music by American musicians through the ages, in honor of US Independence Day.

DJ Bea plays an eclectic set of rock, blues and jazz on Monday mornings at 9 am SLT. This Monday Bea says "I wanted to play some Doors - then decided I needed some Grateful Dead - and it grew like Topsy from there".

DJ JoAnn continues her journey into the best decades of contemporary music with 80s Night at 5 pm SLT Monday. Always something rarely or never heard before, as well as lots of favorites.

DJ Avion spins tunes old and new, by artists legendary and obscure, when we gather for Tiki Toosday at 5 pm SLT. The two Neon Palms sites will be in remission for the time being and we will alternate between the VB Pool and Surf's Up which will be the location of next Tuesday's event.

DJ JoAnn presents Symphonic and Goth metal on Wednesdays at 5 pm SLT  in her latex and leather dungeon, now a permanent fixture on the Beach sim (use the teleport board on the wall of the landing hut). Dress is optional, but latex and leather work best.

Fridays at 5 pm SLT DJ JoAnn plays a musical theme that often takes place in one of the special venues. This week, JoAnn will be unavailable so DJ Shelly will step in and present camping and summer songs in Kamp Kanada. Last week DJ JoAnn played a mix of angelic and demonic music in the rebuilt Heaven and Hell venue.
