Last Sunday evening we dressed up 50s style and danced in the VB Milk Bar while DJ Bea played rock'n songs by American artists from the pre-British invasion era.
For this week's Celtic Sunrise at 5 am SLT Sunday, DJ Shelly will present Love Songs and Lingerie on the big bed in Venus Bean. Last week, DJ Shelly played a mix of Celtic romance and Halloween music in the Venus Beach Graveyard.
DJ Bea plays an eclectic set of rock, blues and jazz on Monday mornings at 9 am SLT. This Monday Bea is "gonna do a New Wave thing". Surfing? Tsunami? Come along and find out!
DJ JoAnn continues her journey into the best decades of contemporary music with 80s Night at 5 pm SLT Monday. Always lots of favorites, as well as music rarely or never heard before.
DJ Avion spins tunes old and new, by artists legendary and obscure, when we gather for Tiki Toosday at 5 pm SLT. We currently alternate between Surf's Up and the VB Pool which will be the location of next Tuesday's event.
DJ JoAnn presents Symphonic and Goth metal on Wednesdays at 5 pm SLT in her latex and leather dungeon. Great music from a fantastic but often overlooked genre of music.
On Fridays at 5 pm SLT, DJ JoAnn plays a musical theme that often takes place in one of the special venues. This week we strut our stuff on the red carpet while JoAnn plays soundtracks and theme music for A Night at the Movies. Last week, we visited the Venus Beach Public Library for Fairy Tales, where guests dressed as their favorite fairy tale and fantasy characters.
