Last Sunday evening the Northern Hemispherians escaped the cold and snow for two hours with a downunder tropical Christmas party, where DJ Avion played a half-and-half mix of Christmas and other rocking tunes. More clothing came off than the photographs indicate!
For this week's Celtic Sunrise at 5 am SLT Sunday, DJ Qntal will present the end-of-month "Love Songs and Lingerie" on the Big Bed at Venus Bean. Last week, DJ Shelly played songs in celebration of the northern winter solstice in the appropriately pagan Venushenge venue.
DJ Bea plays an eclectic set of rock, blues and jazz on Monday mornings at 9 am SLT. This Monday Bea will be "following up the official VB Christmas party with my own Christmas set - lots of old R&B and other rocking stuff".
DJ JoAnn continues her journey into the best decades of contemporary music with 80s Night at 5 pm SLT Monday. Always lots of favorites, as well as music rarely or never heard before.
New Kid on the Block
DJ Avion spins tunes old and new, by artists legendary and obscure, when we gather for Tiki Toosday at 5 pm SLT. We currently alternate between the VB Pool and Surf's Up which will be the location of next Tuesday's event.
DJ JoAnn presents Symphonic and Goth metal on Wednesdays at 5 pm SLT in her latex and leather dungeon. Great music in a perfect setting for an oft-overlooked but compelling genre of music.
On Fridays at 5 pm SLT, DJ JoAnn plays a musical theme that often takes place in one of the special venues. This week, with the imminent passing of yet another year, JoAnn will present songs relating to the passage of time. Last week we rugged up for the permafrost of Venus Freeze where JoAnn played music with a wintry theme. No faux were harmed in the making of the fur!
