Cathouse Capers

Dolly's, aka the Best Little Cathouse in Second Life, gives us the opportunity to celebrate our furry feline friends, and for we humans to emulate them in catly attire or to strumpet our stuff as ladies of dubious virtue. Accompanied of course by themely music and your choice of dance and chat, Sunday at 4 pm SLT.

This week we entered the way-back machine and celebrated the new year in a way that the ancient Romans surely didn't. Music about the passage of time was accompanied by an array of colorful costumes, parts of which had obviously been lost over the ages.

For this week's Celtic Sunrise at 5 am SLT Sunday, DJ Qntal  will play medieval and romantic tunes in the Arabian Nights venue. Last week, DJ Shelly presented Celtic and romance tunes in the Venus Bean lounge.

DJ Bea plays an eclectic set of rock, blues and jazz on Monday mornings at 9 am SLT. This Monday Bea will play a cross-genre set comprising "classic rock, blues, jazz and a good number of wild cards". 

DJ JoAnn continues her journey into the best decades of contemporary music with 80s Night at 5 pm SLT Monday. Always lots of favorites, as well as music rarely or never heard before.

DJ Avion spins tunes old and new, by artists legendary and obscure, when we gather for Tiki Toosday at 5 pm SLT. We currently alternate between the VB Pool and Surf's Up which will be the location of next Tuesday's event.

DJ JoAnn presents Symphonic and Goth metal on Wednesdays at 5 pm SLT  in her latex and leather dungeon. Great music in a perfect setting for an oft-overlooked but compelling genre of music.

On Fridays at 5 pm SLT, DJ JoAnn plays a musical theme that often takes place in one of the special venues. This week, JoAnn will present "Around the World", a musical progression through global locations. Last week JoAnn entertained us with music from the post-apocalyptic Fallout video game series, amidst urban grunge.
