'Impostor' by Fiona Fei

Avion and Shy's latest excellent adventure resulted in a surprise. Instead of seeing donkeys, they entered a three-dimensional, interactive Chinese ink-brush landscape by the artist Fiona Fei. TSQ LM here

Start by clicking on the donut-shaped ink pot to get to the calligraphy desk. Admire the traditional mountain scenery as you wend your way along the snowy boardwalk. While pondering whether to walk on the giant ink brush (spoiler alert: you should), don't fail to look up high on a mountaintop where a pagoda lets you "worship ink". And finally, don't forget to have some fun on the interactive red hand. It has some clever animated poses.

What's it all about? The explosions of red are said to be a bit of whimsy, the black splotches her self-deprecating acknowledgment of not yet mastering ink-brush painting (her first life medium is oil). Last week on Sunday evening at 4 pm SLT, we bravely ventured to the Jungle Tree House in Darkest SL for two hours of DJ Avion's jungly jingles. Jungle Kitty kept watch for any beastly intrusions.

For this week's Celtic Sunrise at 5 am SLT, being the last Sunday of the month DJ Shelly  will play "Love Songs and Lingerie"  in Dolly's, the Best Little Cathouse in Second Life. Last week DJ Qntal presented a selection of country and folksy tunes in the VB Barn.

DJ Bea plays an eclectic set of rock, blues and jazz on Monday mornings at 9 am SLT. This Monday Bea says "I have got a very blues-y thing going based around a Yardbirds Greatest Hits compilation." 

DJ JoAnn continues her journey into the best decades of contemporary music with 80s Night at 5 pm SLT Monday. Always lots of favorites, as well as music you've rarely or never heard before.

DJ Avion spins tunes old and new, by artists legendary and obscure, when we gather for Tiki Toosday at 5 pm SLT. We currently alternate between Surf's Up and the VB Pool, which will be the location of next Tuesday's event.

DJ JoAnn presents Symphonic and Goth metal on Wednesdays at 5 pm SLT  in her latex and leather dungeon. Great music in a perfect setting for an oft-overlooked but compelling genre of music.

On Fridays at 5 pm SLT, DJ JoAnn plays a musical theme that often takes place in one of the special venues. This week we visit a delightful garden setting where JoAnn will celebrate the coming of the northern spring. Last week, in tune with the current times, we placed ourselves in isolation in the VB Asylum to protect against the madness of the world outside.
