DJ Bea Rocks the Malt Shop

For this week's Sunday evening event at 4 pm SLT we return to the period Malt Shop where DJ Bea will play a selection of rock'n'roll tunes. Haul those bobby-sox and poodle skirts out of inventory, or find something equally fifties.

Last Sunday evening at 4 pm SLT we donned formal or classy casual attire to suit the stylish environs of Ella's, where guests wore a wonderful array of elegance while dancing to soft rock by DJ Avion.

Dietary snacks?

For this week's Celtic Sunrise at 5am SLT, DJ Shelly will present a tribute to Grace O'Malley (the 16th century Pirate Queen of Ireland) as well as an early Halloween celebration, aboard the bad ship HMS Booty. Last week, DJ Qntal played a set of beautiful Arabian, Celtic and romantic music in the 1001 Nights setting.

DJ Bea plays an eclectic mix of rock, blues and jazz on Monday mornings at 9 am SLT. This Monday, Bea will play "still a bit of a hodge podge, but rather classic oriented this time."

DJ Cerydwen continues her journey into the best decades of contemporary music with 80s Night at 5 pm SLT Monday. Always lots of favorites, as well as music you've rarely or never heard before.

DJ Avion spins tunes old and new, by artists legendary and obscure, when we get beachy for Tiki Toosday at 5 pm SLT. We currently alternate between the VB Pool and Surf's Up, which will be the venue for next Tuesday's event.

DJ Cerydwen presents Symphonic and Goth metal on Wednesdays at 5 pm SLT, in her latex and leather dungeon. Great music in a perfect setting for an oft-overlooked but compelling genre of music.

On Fridays at 5 pm SLT, DJ Cerydwen plays a musical theme that often takes place in one of the special venues. This week, Cerydwen will present music on the topic of food to mark World Food Day, celebrated every October 16th to honor the founding of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in 1945.  Suggestions for attire are anything food-related, wear it, prepare it, serve it or be it. Last week Cerydwen played glam rock tunes in tribute to the "hair bands" of the 1980s, in the Venus Beach Beauty Salon.

Not much hair to style on this bony pony ...
