As we head towards our tenth anniversary I would like to take this opportunity to thank our members and guests for you support during the year, and in particular the officers and DJs who have done so much to keep Venus Beach II a lively and welcoming place. Happy New Year to you all!

Last Sunday evening DJ Avion slowed the tempo a little with soft rock suitable for a formal evening in the elegant environs of Ella's. Guests looked wonderful in a stunning array of evening-wear.
For this week's Celtic Sunrise at 5 am SLT, DJ Shelly will offer a second serving of Love Songs and Lingerie on the Big Bed at Venus Bean. Last week, DJ Qntal presented the same theme with a lovely selection of romantic tunes.
DJ Bea plays an eclectic mix of rock, blues and jazz on Monday mornings at 9 am SLT. This Monday, Bea says "It's time for Bea's Year in Review ... samples of what I have purchased the past year."

DJ Cerydwen continues her journey into the best decades of contemporary music with 80s Night at 5 pm SLT Monday. Always lots of favorites, as well as music you've rarely or never heard before.
DJ Avion spins tunes old and new, by artists legendary and obscure, when we get beachy for Tiki Toosday at 5 pm SLT. We currently alternate between Surf's Up and the VB Pool, which will be the venue for next Tuesday's event.
DJ Cerydwen presents Symphonic and Goth metal on Wednesdays at 5 pm SLT, in her latex and leather dungeon. Great music in a perfect setting for an oft-overlooked but compelling genre of music.
On Fridays at 5 pm SLT, DJ Cerydwen plays a musical theme that often takes place in one of the special venues. This week, with the passing of another year and in what has now become a VB tradition, Cerydwen will present songs relating to the passage of Time. Last week , Cerydwen played surfing tunes at Surf's Up! for those at a loose end on Christmas Day (and tired of Christmas music!).
