All of us at Venus Beach II would like to wish our members and guests a very Happy Christmas and all the joy the season brings. 

This Sunday at 4 pm SLT, DJ Avion will slow things down a little in the elegant environs of Ella's as we convene to show off our best formal attire and dance to soft rock.

Last Sunday evening the Northern Hemispherians escaped the cold and snow for two hours with a downunder tropical Christmas party, where DJ Avion played a half-and-half mix of Christmas and other rocking tunes. A little more clothing came off than the photographs indicate!

For this week's Celtic Sunrise at 5 am SLT, DJ Qntal will present the end-of-month Love Songs and Lingerie on the Big Bed at Venus Bean. Last week, we travelled "upstairs" to Venus Freeze where DJ Shelly played a mix of traditional and novelty Christmas tunes in an appropriately wintry setting.

DJ Bea plays an eclectic mix of rock, blues and jazz on Monday mornings at 9 am SLT. This Monday, Bea will offer her "rocking, bluesy, soulful Christmas, guaranteed songs that you have never heard before!."

DJ Cerydwen continues her journey into the best decades of contemporary music with 80s Night at 5 pm SLT Monday. Always lots of favorites, as well as music you've rarely or never heard before.

DJ Avion spins tunes old and new, by artists legendary and obscure, when we get beachy for Tiki Toosday at 5 pm SLT. We currently alternate between the VB Pool and Surf's Up, which will be the venue for next Tuesday's event.

DJ Cerydwen presents Symphonic and Goth metal on Wednesdays at 5 pm SLT, in her latex and leather dungeon. Great music in a perfect setting for an oft-overlooked but compelling genre of music.

On Fridays at 5 pm SLT, DJ Cerydwen plays a musical theme that often takes place in one of the special venues. This week, Cerydwen will play a selection of surfer tunes in the Surf's Up! venue. Last week we observed International Day to End Violence Against Sex Workers, an annual event calling attention to hate crimes and discrimination committed against "working girls".
