First on the agenda is an announcement of a special non-Venus Beach II event coming up on Tuesday 2nd February - a celebration of the fourth anniversary of the marriage of VB favorites and DJs, Qntal and Shelly. They will be renewing their vows in a ceremony at Moonlight Serenade commencing at 7 pm SLT, followed by dancing. All VBers are welcome to attend.
Please note that the dress code is listed as "Formal or proper casual", and that the sim is unisex.

It's Fat Tuesday on February 16th, so time to roll out Bourbon Street for our annual Mardi Gras debauchery. Lots of colorful and elaborate costumery out there to set the visual mood, while DJ Bea will provide the New Orleans musical tone.

Last Sunday evening we visited the exotic Taj Mahal and danced to tunes evocative of the sub-continent, provided by DJ Avion. Guests responded with a wonderful array of colorful Indian-style costumes.
For this week's Celtic Sunrise at 5 am SLT, DJ Qntal will offer love songs and Celtic music, again on the Big Bed at Venus Bean (lingerie optional but appropriate). Last week, DJ Shelly presented the regular end-of-month Love Songs and Lingerie at Venus Bean.
DJ Bea plays an eclectic mix of rock, blues and jazz on Monday mornings at 9 am SLT. This Monday, Bea will play "another Bea genuine cross-genre mish-mash - with a wee focus on some old Elvis stuff that I came upon. "
DJ Cerydwen continues her journey into the best decades of contemporary music with 80s Night at 5 pm SLT Monday. Always lots of favorites, as well as music you've rarely or never heard before.

DJ Avion spins tunes old and new, by artists legendary and obscure, when we get beachy for Tiki Toosday at 5 pm SLT. We currently alternate between the VB Pool and Surf's Up, which will be the venue for next Tuesday's event.
DJ Cerydwen presents Symphonic and Goth metal on Wednesdays at 5 pm SLT, in her latex and leather dungeon. Great music in a perfect setting for an oft-overlooked but compelling genre of music.
On Fridays at 5 pm SLT, DJ Cerydwen plays a musical theme that often takes place in one of the special venues. This week, Cerydwen will present music from the Fallout video game series - think post-apocalyptic, survivor, dystopian, grunge. Last week saw us in the Versailles-inspired VB Ballroom for a masquerade ball, where most guests were at their elegant best .... thank goodness for name tags!
