Last Sunday evening we visited Bourbon Street in New Orleans to celebrate Mardi Gras, where beads and feathers dominated the spectacular costumery. DJ Bea provided the lively Louisiana-inspired music.
For this week's Celtic Sunrise at 5 am SLT, DJ Shelly will present music to a theme yet to be determined. Last week, DJ Qntal played a selection of beautiful music for her Celtic Romance Valentine Party, on the Big Bed at Venus Bean.
DJ Bea plays an eclectic mix of rock, blues and jazz on Monday mornings at 9 am SLT. This Monday, Bea will play "some Mardi Gras leftovers, a lot of Roomful of Blues, and another complete Moody Blues album. "
DJ Cerydwen continues her journey into the best decades of contemporary music with 80s Night at 5 pm SLT Monday. Always lots of favorites, as well as music you've rarely or never heard before.
DJ Avion spins tunes old and new, by artists legendary and obscure, when we get beachy for Tiki Toosday at 5 pm SLT. We currently alternate between Surf's Up and the VB Pool, which will be the venue for next Tuesday's event.
DJ Cerydwen presents Symphonic and Goth metal on Wednesdays at 5 pm SLT, in her latex and leather dungeon. Great music in a perfect setting for an oft-overlooked but compelling genre of music.
On Fridays at 5 pm SLT, DJ Cerydwen plays a musical theme that often takes place in one of the special venues. This week, Cerydwen will present music related to Transportation in all its forms - think driver/pilot, engineer, traveler, anyone you might find in a transport terminal. Last week Cerydwen entertained us with music from the post-apocalyptic Fallout video game series, amidst urban grunge.
