Prom Night at Venus Beach II

For this week's event at 4 pm SLT Sunday the Class of 2021 gathers for Prom Night, harking back to the end of high school and to a time when gowns fitted without the use of alpha layers. Formal attire is suggested, but as always feel free to come as you are.

Our Bare As You Dare event saw many take up the challenge, with costumes reduced to little or nothing as we danced and chatted to themely music. 

For this week's Celtic Sunrise at 5 am SLT, DJ Avion (in DJ Qntal's absence) will present the regular end of month Love Songs and Lingerie, on the Big Bed at Venus Bean.  Last week, DJ Qntal played a great selection of songs by female rockers and singers on a newly built set.

DJ Bea plays an eclectic mix of rock, blues and jazz on Monday mornings at 9 am SLT. This Monday, Bea says "It is the 80th birthday of Nobel Prize winner Bob Dylan. That deserves a tribute. We will listen to his songs, both by him and by other artists." 

This week at 5 pm SLT Monday we have something different; it is DJ Cerydwen's RL birthday so instead of the regular 80s Night Cerydwen will play some of her own favorite music. Expect a lot of hard rock and metal! Regular programming resumes after the break.

DJ Avion spins tunes old and new, by artists legendary and obscure, when we get beachy for Tiki Toosday at 5 pm SLT. We currently alternate between the VB Pool and Surf's Up, which will be the venue for next Tuesday's event.

DJ Cerydwen presents Symphonic and Goth metal on Wednesdays at 5 pm SLT, in her latex and leather dungeon. Great music in a perfect setting for an oft-overlooked but compelling genre of music.

On Fridays at 5 pm SLT, DJ Cerydwen plays a musical theme that often takes place in one of the special venues.  This week Cerydwen will entertain us with songs from the 1990s, a period of musical change with cross-pollination of existing genres resulting in new sounds. Last week Cerydwen played glam rock tunes in tribute to the "hair bands" of the 1980s, in the Venus Beach Beauty Salon.
