Last Sunday evening DJ Avion presented Themeless Thunday, with a selection of DJ favorite tunes on a bare-bones set. There was however a hint of a movie theme, "Dances With Kitties"!
For this week's Celtic Sunrise at 5 am SLT, DJ Qntal will present an early morning selection of Country & Western music, in the VB barn. Last week we indulged in a variation of "Name That Tune", where Qntal played songs covered by later artists which in many cases improve upon and are more popular than the originals.
DJ Bea plays an eclectic mix of rock, blues and jazz on Monday mornings at 9 am SLT. This Monday, Bea says "No, I do not know what I am playing yet!" Come along and find out!
DJ Cerydwen continues her journey into the best decades of contemporary music with 80s Night at 5 pm SLT Monday. Always lots of favorites, as well as music you've rarely or never heard before.
DJ Avion spins tunes old and new, by artists legendary and obscure, when we get beachy for Tiki Toosday at 5 pm SLT. We currently alternate between Surf's Up and the VB Pool, which will be the venue for next Tuesday's event.
DJ Cerydwen presents Symphonic and Goth metal on Wednesdays at 5 pm SLT, in her latex and leather dungeon. Great music in a perfect setting for an oft-overlooked but compelling genre of music.
On Fridays at 5 pm SLT, DJ Cerydwen plays a musical theme that often takes place in one of the special venues. This week's theme is World Day for International Justice, celebrated throughout the world on July 17th as part of an effort to recognize the emerging system of international crime justice. A courtroom setting is envisaged, so attire might be members of the legal and law enforcement professions, prisoners in chains, jury members or vicarious onlookers. Last week, we took over the Batcave and chose sides in the never-ending conflict between Heroes and Villains, with most opting to back the Dynamic Duo.
