This week on Sunday at 4 pm SLT we bounce onto the Venus Beach Big Bed for our semi-regular Pajama Party. Don your favorite sleepwear (if any) and join us for two hours of chat, dancing and pillow fights, with slumber-themed music from DJ Avion to conversely keep you awake.
Last Sunday evening we plunged into the Venus Beach mermaid pool where a bevy of beautiful mermaids performed synchronised swimming to the soft music of DJ Avion.
For this week's Celtic Sunrise at 5 am SLT, DJ Avion (in DJ Qntal's absence) will play a selection of Celtic and romantic music in a setting to be determined (or built!). Last week, DJ Qntal presented Love Songs and Lingerie on the Big Bed at Venus Bean, deferred from the previous week.
DJ Bea plays an eclectic mix of rock, blues and jazz on Monday mornings at 9 am SLT. This Monday, Bea says "This set started to be a sorta laid back mid-60s thing ... and then Dusty Hill, bass player for ZZ Top died. So the latter part is a ZZ Top tribute."
DJ Cerydwen continues her journey into the best decades of contemporary music with 80s Night at 5 pm SLT Monday. Always lots of favorites, as well as music you've rarely or never heard before.
DJ Avion spins tunes old and new, by artists legendary and obscure, when we get beachy for Tiki Toosday at 5 pm SLT. We currently alternate between the VB Pool and Surf's Up, which will be the venue for next Tuesday's event.
