Feeling a little blue? Then dance away your cares at 4 pm SLT Sunday with Bea's Blues in the Venus Beat Blues Club. Wear something denim, bluesy, or just come as you are.
Bea's This Week in VB II
Last Sunday we moved to the hippie commune of Mudstock to celebrate the 53rd anniversary of Woodstock, 15-18 August 1969. Guests made the most of the opportunity to don Bohemian garb, and danced to music evocative of the era provided by DJ Avion.
For this week's Celtic Sunrise at 5 am SLT Sunday, DJ Qntal will feature music by Canadian artists in the Kamp Kanada venue. Last week, Qntal presented a cool mix of country and folk music in the VB II Barn.
DJ Bea plays an eclectic mix of rock, blues and jazz on Monday mornings at 9 am SLT. This Monday Bea says "... my set is sort of a continuation of Mudstock." That is, music from the flower power era.
DJ Cerydwen continues her journey into the best decades of contemporary music with 80s Night at 5 pm SLT Monday. Lots of favorites, but always something new to discover from the decade that keeps on giving.
DJ Avion spins tunes old and new, by artists legendary and obscure, when we get beachy for Tiki Toosday at 5 pm SLT. We currently alternate between the VB Pool and Surf's Up, which will be the venue for next Tuesday's event.
DJ Cerydwen presents Metal Night on Wednesdays at 5 pm SLT, in her latex and leather dungeon. Great music in a perfect setting for an absorbing and compelling genre of music.
This week on Thursday at 5 pm slt, DJ Sara continues to play a great mix of rock tunes from the 1970s onwards, covering arguably the best decades of modern music.
On Fridays at 5 pm SLT, DJ Cerydwen presents a different weekly musical theme. This week, Cerydwen will take us on a Fantasy musical journey to the ruined castle, complete with guest demoness. Last week we gathered in the Venus Beach Sports Bar for a round of drinking-related music.
