For this week's Sunday evening event at 4 pm SLT we return to the period Malt Shop where DJ Bea will play a selection of rock'n'roll oldies. Rummage through inventory and find somethings fifties if you can.
Last Sunday evening we bounced and boogied on the VB Big Bed at our regular Pajama Party, with slumber-themed tunes provided by DJ Avion. A fine and sometimes revealing array of sleepwear added to the mood of the occasion.
This week's Celtic Sunrise at 5 am SLT will once again be in hiatus while DJ Qntal takes a short break. Last Sunday, DJ Qntal played a selection of "Lady Songs", tunes with a lady or girl theme.
DJ Bea plays an eclectic mix of rock, blues and jazz on Monday mornings at 9 am SLT. This Monday Bea says "... I decided to play a bunch of Stevie Ray Vaughan - and then somehow some Grateful Dead got in there - and some other stuff."
DJ Cerydwen continues her journey into the best decades of contemporary music with 80s Night at 5 pm SLT Monday. Lots of favorites, but always something new to discover from the decade that keeps on giving and surprising.
DJ Avion spins tunes old and new, by artists legendary and obscure, when we get beachy for Tiki Toosday at 5 pm SLT. We currently alternate between the VB Pool and Surf's Up, which will be the venue for next Tuesday's event.
DJ Cerydwen presents Metal Night on Wednesdays at 5 pm SLT, in her latex and leather dungeon. Great music in a perfect setting for an absorbing and compelling genre of music.
This week on Thursday at 5 pm slt, DJ Sara continues to play a great mix of rock tunes from the 1970s onwards, covering arguably the best decades of modern music.
On Fridays at 5 pm SLT, DJ Cerydwen presents a different weekly musical theme. This week, Cerydwen will present music on the topic of food to mark World Food Day, celebrated every October 16th to honor the founding of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in 1945. Suggestions for attire are anything food-related, wear it, prepare it, serve it or be it. Last week we "slipped the surly bonds of Earth" and ventured to the stars where JoAnn played music about the planets.
