Bea Rocks the Malt Shop

 For this week's Sunday evening event at 4 pm SLT we return to the period Malt Shop where DJ Bea will play a selection of rock'n'roll tunes. Haul those bobby-sox and poodle skirts out of inventory, or find something equally fifties.

Last Sunday evening we visited the Moulin Rouge cabaret to celebrate Bastille Day, the French national day. Guests danced in a variety of wonderful costumes to a mix of burlesque and revolutionary music provided by DJ Avion.

DJ Qntal will be taking a break from her 5 am SLT Sunday Celtic Sunrise event for the duration of the northern summer - with the exception of the end-of-month Love Songs and Lingerie - but may return to a full schedule in the fall. Watch for notices! 

DJ Bea plays an eclectic mix of rock, blues and jazz on Monday mornings at 9 am SLT. Bea was unavailable last week, but this Monday Bea will be "back to alphabetical by artist - artists whose names begin with C or D".

DJ Cerydwen continues her journey into the best decades of contemporary music with 80s Night at 5 pm SLT Monday. Lots of favorites, but always something new to discover from the decade that keeps on giving and surprising.

DJ Avion spins tunes old and new, by artists legendary and obscure, when we get beachy for Tiki Toosday at 5 pm SLT. We currently alternate between Surf's Up and the VB Pool, which will be the venue for next Tuesday's event.

DJ Cerydwen presents Hard Rock and Metal Night on Wednesdays at 5 pm SLT, in her latex and leather dungeon. Great music in a perfect setting for an absorbing and compelling genre of music.

On Fridays at 5 pm SLT, DJ Cerydwen presents a different weekly musical theme. This week we travel to ancient Egypt for a dance party in the VB Pyramid, with tunes appropriate to the region or era. Dress suggestions may include costumes from the Greek-Roman-Pharaonic period, Arabian, mummies, plain white tunics. Last week we celebrated World Chocolate Day in Gingerbread Cottage, where Cerydwen played a "sweet" selection of chocolatey tunes.
