Bea Swings the Beach

This week we dance to the beat of the big bands on Sunday at 4 pm SLT when DJ Bea presents classic swing artists in the Honeysuckle Rose venue. Attire may be swing era, 1930s/40s, deco or just classy, but don't forget your dancing shoes!

Last Sunday evening we used the way-back machine (for some of us the WAY-way-back machine) to revisit our school days and actually enjoy them this time around. Guests dressed as they wished they could have at the time while DJ Avion played a selection of school-related music.

DJ Qntal will be taking a break from her 5 am SLT Sunday Celtic Sunrise event for the duration of the northern summer - with the exception of the end-of-month Love Songs and Lingerie - but may return to a full schedule in the fall. Watch for notices!

DJ Bea plays an eclectic mix of rock, blues and jazz on Monday mornings at 9 am SLT. This Monday Bea says "Jimmy Buffett died - so we will have a tribute to Jimmy".

DJ Cerydwen continues her journey into the best decades of contemporary music with 80s Night at 5 pm SLT Monday. Lots of favorites, but always something new to discover from the decade that keeps on giving and surprising.

DJ Avion spins tunes old and new, by artists legendary and obscure, when we get beachy for Tiki Toosday at 5 pm SLT. We currently alternate between Surf's Up and the VB Pool, which will be the venue for next Tuesday's event.

DJ Cerydwen presents Hard Rock and Metal Night on Wednesdays at 5 pm SLT, in her *new* latex and leather dungeon. Great music in a perfect setting for an absorbing and compelling genre of music.

On Fridays at 5 pm SLT, DJ Cerydwen presents a different weekly musical theme. This week Cerydwen will observe International Literacy Day, a UNESCO initiative to highlight the importance of literacy to individuals, with a selection of music relating to reading and writing - or lack of it. Last week Cerydwen presented Duets, where two otherwise unrelated performers share songs equally, many of which became big hits.
