Mardi Gras Revelry

It's Fat Tuesday on February 25th, so time to roll out Bourbon Street for our annual Mardi Gras debauchery. Lots of colorful and elaborate costumery out there to set the visual mood, while DJ Bea sets the New Orleans musical tone.

Last Sunday evening we celebrated an early Valentine's Day in the Gazebo, with a selection of romantic songs by DJ Avion.

This week's Celtic Sunrise will be presented by DJ Shelly in Venus Bean, with a return to the acoustic roots of the event. Last week DJ Qntal presented Celtic and romantic in the Arabian Nights setting.

DJ Bea plays an eclectic set of rock, blues and jazz on Monday mornings at 9 am SLT. This Monday Bea says "I got in the mood to play some Springsteen, and there is a fair amount of Bruce in the eclectic set."

DJ JoAnn continues her journey into the best decades of contemporary music with 80s Night at 5 pm SLT Monday. Always lots of favorites, as well as music rarely or never heard before.

Cassie was feeling poorly, and couldn't stay long

DJ Avion spins tunes old and new, by artists legendary and obscure, when we gather for Tiki Toosday at 5 pm SLT. We currently alternate between Surf's Up and the VB Pool, which will be the location of next Tuesday's event.

DJ JoAnn presents Symphonic and Goth metal on Wednesdays at 5 pm SLT  in her latex and leather dungeon. Great music in a perfect setting for an oft-overlooked but compelling genre of music.

On Fridays at 5 pm SLT, DJ JoAnn plays a musical theme that often takes place in one of the special venues. This week JoAnn invites us to the Venus Beach Sports Bar for a round of drinking-related music, and where the Drunk Dance ball will again be placed. Last week JoAnn played music from the disco era in the colorful Club Xanadu.
