Venus Beach II once again had the pleasure of hosting a wedding, that of Xara and Mandy, on Saturday 1 February.  Congratulations to the happy couple!

Last Sunday evening we got down and dirty in the back alley grunge setting for Ripped & Torn, where clothes were so fragile that most disintegrated during the course of the evening. DJ Avion played a selection of music appropriate to the occasion.

This week's Celtic Sunrise will be presented by DJ Shelly in the Arabian Nights setting, where silks and belly-dance outfits will be to the fore. Last week DJ Shelly presented classic atomic age rock in the fantasy nuclear reactor.

DJ Bea plays an eclectic set of rock, blues and jazz on Monday mornings at 9 am SLT. This Monday Bea will play a mystery selection, "I had this idea for a set - and as I started putting it together, I had another idea - so I did both". Intriguing? Come find out! 

DJ JoAnn continues her journey into the best decades of contemporary music with 80s Night at 5 pm SLT Monday. Always lots of favorites, as well as music rarely or never heard before.

DJ Avion spins tunes old and new, by artists legendary and obscure, when we gather for Tiki Toosday at 5 pm SLT. We currently alternate between the VB Pool and Surf's Up which will be the location of next Tuesday's event.

DJ JoAnn presents Symphonic and Goth metal on Wednesdays at 5 pm SLT  in her latex and leather dungeon. Great music in a perfect setting for an oft-overlooked but compelling genre of music.

On Fridays at 5 pm SLT, DJ JoAnn plays a musical theme that often takes place in one of the special venues. This week JoAnn takes us to Xanadu for a round of great music from the flashy disco era. Last week JoAnn played music from the transitional 1990s while we tried to remember what if any fashions were in vogue at the time.
