Bastille Day @ Moulin Rouge

This week on Sunday evening at 4 pm SLT we head off to la belle France to celebrate Bastille Day in - where else? - the Moulin Rouge cabaret. Dress suggestions might be showgirls, ladies of the night, or anything with a French flavor (but not too heavy on the garlic!).

Last Sunday evening was as triple celebration for Canada Day, Independence Day and Venus Beach II's ninth birthday. Guests wore national or VB costumes, plus of course birthday suits!

Celtic For this week's Celtic Sunrise at 5 am SLT, DJ Qntal will play Arabian and medieval music in the Arabian Nights setting. Last week DJ Shelly presented a lovely choice of Celtic and romantic music in the medieval castle.

DJ Bea plays an eclectic set of rock, blues and jazz on Monday mornings at 9 am SLT. This Monday Bea says "I had this set idea - and as I kept adding to it, it evolved into something different than planned - as is not uncommon."

DJ JoAnn continues her journey into the best decades of contemporary music with 80s Night at 5 pm SLT Monday. Always lots of favorites, as well as music you've rarely or never heard before.

Katalyynaa didn't join us, but chilled to the music from close by

DJ Avion spins tunes old and new, by artists legendary and obscure, when we gather for Tiki Toosday at 5 pm SLT. We currently alternate between the VB Pool and Surf's Up, which will be the location of next Tuesday's event.

DJ JoAnn presents Symphonic and Goth metal on Wednesdays at 5 pm SLT  in her latex and leather dungeon. Great music in a perfect setting for an oft-overlooked but compelling genre of music.

On Fridays at 5 pm SLT DJ JoAnn plays a musical theme that often takes place in one of the special venues. This week's theme is Fire & Ice - think ice queens or demons, wintry garb or something more fiery. Last week JoAnn celebrated the coming of the northern summer by playing songs with a horticultural motif.
