Last week on Sunday evening at 4 pm we celebrated the northern hemisphere harvest and Thanksgiving at the Festival venue, to appreciate the good things in life during a particularly difficult year. Guests provided a wide array of thematic costumery while dancing to the tunes of DJ Avion.
For this week's Celtic Sunrise at 5 am SLT, DJ Qntal will play Celtic and Arabian tunes in the 1001 Nights venue. Last week, DJ Shelly presented a lovely mix of Celtic and romantic music in the medieval castle.
DJ Bea plays an eclectic mix of rock, blues and jazz on Monday mornings at 9 am SLT. This Monday, Bea says "This set is based on two new albums I bought, featuring Eric Clapton and Johnny Cash."
DJ Cerydwen continues her journey into the best decades of contemporary music with 80s Night at 5 pm SLT Monday. Always lots of favorites, as well as music you've rarely or never heard before.
DJ Avion spins tunes old and new, by artists legendary and obscure, when we get beachy for Tiki Toosday at 5 pm SLT. We currently alternate between the VB Pool and Surf's Up, which will be the venue for next Tuesday's event.
DJ Cerydwen presents Symphonic and Goth metal on Wednesdays at 5 pm SLT, in her latex and leather dungeon. Great music in a perfect setting for an oft-overlooked but compelling genre of music.
On Fridays at 5 pm SLT, DJ Cerydwen plays a musical theme that often takes place in one of the special venues. This week being Friday 13th, JoAnn will play music related to luck, good and bad. Suggested attire? Wear the right outfit and you might get lucky! Last week, Cerydwen presented a fun Halloween after-party in Hotel Transylvania, where the monsters of the world gathered to relax after a hard few weeks of haunting, spooking and getting ooky with the populace.
