Last Sunday evening we bounced and boogied on the VB Big Bed at our regular Pajama Party, with slumber-themed tunes provided by DJ Avion. A fine array of sleepwear and bunny slippers added to the ambience of the occasion.
For this week's Celtic Sunrise at 5am SLT on Sunday, DJ Qntal will present the regular end-of-month Love Songs and Lingerie on the Big Bed at Venus Bean. Last week, DJ Shelly went back to where it all started with a lovely selection of Celtic and romantic music at Venus Bean.
DJ Bea plays an eclectic mix of rock, blues and jazz on Monday mornings at 9 am SLT. This Monday, Bea will play a selection of twofers from "a variety of artists and styles, ranging from the 1950s on."
DJ Cerydwen continues her journey into the best decades of contemporary music with 80s Night at 5 pm SLT Monday. Always lots of favorites, as well as music you've rarely or never heard before.
DJ Avion spins tunes old and new, by artists legendary and obscure, when we get beachy for Tiki Toosday at 5 pm SLT. We currently alternate between the VB Pool and Surf's Up, which will be the venue for next Tuesday's event.
DJ Cerydwen presents Symphonic and Goth metal on Wednesdays at 5 pm SLT, in her latex and leather dungeon. Great music in a perfect setting for an oft-overlooked but compelling genre of music.
On Fridays at 5 pm SLT, DJ Cerydwen plays a musical theme that often takes place in one of the special venues. This week, Cerydwen will play music from one of the other great decades of music, the 1970s. Suggested attire .... bell-bottom pants, maxi skirts, peasant blouses, ponchos and pantsuits were all popular, and the period included the tail end of the tie-dyed hippie era. Last week's offering was music related to Transgender Day of Remembrance to honor those who have lost their lives through transphobic violence.
