Australia Day

January 26th is the official national day of Australia, marking the anniversary of European settlement in 1788. This week on Sunday at 4 pm SLT, DJ Avion will be spinning a selection of tunes by Australian artists, in an outback bushland setting.

Last week on Sunday evening at 4 pm, DJ Bea spun the top R&B hits from 1950 and '51 in the Malt Shop venue, where many guests dressed to the theme with a cool array of 50s attire.

For this week's Celtic Sunrise at 5 am SLT, DJ Qntal will play a mix of country & western music, plus a few folk tunes. Last week, DJ Shelly presented a fine selection of 1970s and Celtic music, in the Venus Bean venue.

DJ Bea plays an eclectic mix of rock, blues and jazz on Monday mornings at 9 am SLT. This Monday, Bea will play ".... some freedom songs for Martin Luther King Day, a Muddy Waters album, and a bunch of other stuff."

DJ Cerydwen continues her journey into the best decades of contemporary music with 80s Night at 5 pm SLT Monday. Always lots of favorites, as well as music you've rarely or never heard before.

DJ Avion spins tunes old and new, by artists legendary and obscure, when we get beachy for Tiki Toosday at 5 pm SLT. We currently alternate between the VB Pool and Surf's Up, which will be the venue for next Tuesday's event.

DJ Cerydwen presents Symphonic and Goth metal on Wednesdays at 5 pm SLT, in her latex and leather dungeon. Great music in a perfect setting for an oft-overlooked but compelling genre of music.

On Fridays at 5 pm SLT, DJ Cerydwen plays a musical theme that often takes place in one of the special venues. This week, Cerydwen will present Angels and Demons in a half-and-half Heaven and Hell venue. Pick your side! Last week, Cerydwen played Rock Ballads, featuring slower tempo narrative or love songs.
