Bea Rocks the Malt Shop

 For this week's Sunday evening event at 4 pm SLT we return to the period Malt Shop where DJ Bea will play a selection of rock'n'roll tunes. Haul those bobby-sox and poodle skirts out of inventory, or find something equally fifties.

Last Sunday we entered the final days before the official swearing in of the 46th President of the United States, so we honored the moment in true VB II style - semi-clad and partying in the Oval Office! DJ Avion played music of a celebratory nature, while guests came attired in a selection of clothing appropriate to the occasion.

For this week's Celtic Sunrise at 5 am SLT, DJ Shelly will play music from one of the great decades of music, the 1970s. Last week, DJ Qntal presented Early Morning Swing with an excellent upbeat selection of mostly swing revival groups.

DJ Bea plays an eclectic mix of rock, blues and jazz on Monday mornings at 9 am SLT. This Monday, Bea will play ".... more hodge podge - with a small tribute to Gerry Marsden of Gerry & The Pacemakers."

DJ Cerydwen continues her journey into the best decades of contemporary music with 80s Night at 5 pm SLT Monday. Always lots of favorites, as well as music you've rarely or never heard before.

DJ Avion spins tunes old and new, by artists legendary and obscure, when we get beachy for Tiki Toosday at 5 pm SLT. We currently alternate between Surf's Up and the VB Pool, which will be the venue for next Tuesday's event.

DJ Cerydwen presents Symphonic and Goth metal on Wednesdays at 5 pm SLT, in her latex and leather dungeon. Great music in a perfect setting for an oft-overlooked but compelling genre of music.

On Fridays at 5 pm SLT, DJ Cerydwen plays a musical theme that often takes place in one of the special venues. This week, Cerydwen will present Rock Ballads, featuring slower tempo narrative or love songs. Last week, we danced inside the giant clock for part 2 of the end-of year Time theme.
