For this week's Sunday evening event at 4 pm SLT we return to the period Malt Shop where DJ Bea will play a selection of rock'n'roll oldies from the 1950s to 1964. Haul those bobby-sox and poodle skirts out of inventory, or find something equally fifties.
Bea's This Week in VB II
Last Sunday evening DJ Avion slowed the tempo a little with soft rock suitable for a formal evening in the elegant environs of Ella's. Guests looked wonderful in a stunning array of evening-wear.
For this week's Celtic Sunrise at 5 am SLT, DJ Qntal will play songs from movies and musicals - and maybe a couple of TV shows - on the red carpet at the Oscars site. Last week, Qntal presented Arabian and Celtic music in the 1001 Nights venue, with a surprising and enjoyable set of music.
DJ Bea plays an eclectic mix of rock, blues and jazz on Monday mornings at 9 am SLT. This Monday, Bea says ".... another genuine Bea hodge-podge set! Will there be more hodge or more podge? Come and find out!"
DJ Cerydwen continues her journey into the best decades of contemporary music with 80s Night at 5 pm SLT Monday. Always lots of favorites, as well as music you've rarely or never heard before.
DJ Avion spins tunes old and new, by artists legendary and obscure, when we get beachy for Tiki Toosday at 5 pm SLT. We currently alternate between the VB Pool and Surf's Up, which will be the venue for next Tuesday's event.
DJ Cerydwen presents Symphonic and Goth metal on Wednesdays at 5 pm SLT, in her latex and leather dungeon. Great music in a perfect setting for an oft-overlooked but compelling genre of music.
On Fridays at 5 pm SLT, DJ Cerydwen plays a musical theme that often takes place in one of the special venues. This week the theme will be World Voice Day - a celebration of the phenomenon of voice - during which Cerydwen will play music with great singing voices .... for attire, come as you are requires least thought! Last week the topic was part 2 of Kings and Queens, in the Versailles ballroom venue where guests wore a regal display of finery.
