This Sunday at 4 pm SLT, DJ Avion will slow things down a little in the elegant environs of Ella's as we convene to show off our best formal attire and dance to soft rock.
Bea's This Week in VB II
Last week on Sunday evening we entered the giant wabbit for our annual Easter celebration where DJ Avion played music appropriate to the season. Guests dressed for the occasion with a colorful array of bunny and spring-time costumes.
For this week's Celtic Sunrise at 5 am SLT, DJ Qntal will play Medieval and Arabian music in the 1001 Nights set, probably with some romantic tunes included as well. Last week, Qntal presented Celtic music in the medieval castle, with a lovely selection of romantic tunes.
DJ Bea plays an eclectic mix of rock, blues and jazz on Monday mornings at 9 am SLT. This Monday, Bea says ".... along with the usual hodge podge, I have a brand new (2018) album by a Detroit band."
DJ Cerydwen continues her journey into the best decades of contemporary music with 80s Night at 5 pm SLT Monday. Always lots of favorites, as well as music you've rarely or never heard before.
DJ Avion spins tunes old and new, by artists legendary and obscure, when we get beachy for Tiki Toosday at 5 pm SLT. We currently alternate between Surf's Up and the VB Pool, which will be the venue for next Tuesday's event.
DJ Cerydwen presents Symphonic and Goth metal on Wednesdays at 5 pm SLT, in her latex and leather dungeon. Great music in a perfect setting for an oft-overlooked but compelling genre of music.
On Fridays at 5 pm SLT, DJ Cerydwen plays a musical theme that often takes place in one of the special venues. This week the theme will be part 2 of Kings and Queens, or any form of royalty, in the Versailles ballroom venue .... for attire, think regal, third assistant scullery maid, Royal Wiper or anyone in between. Last week we celebrated International Whisk(e)y Day with an array of drinking songs in the VB Sports Bar.
