This week on Sunday at 4 pm SLT we visit the Venus Beach Public Library for Fairy Tales, where guests are invited to embrace their inner child and dress as their favorite fairy tale character. DJ Avion will provide a selection of theme-appropriate music.
Bea's This Week in VB II
Last Sunday evening we skied and skated our way to the permafrost of Venus Freeze for Winter Festival, celebrating the beginning of the end of the northern hemisphere frigidity. Guests rugged up in winter clothing while dancing to cool tunes by DJ Avion.
For this week's Celtic Sunrise at 5 am SLT, DJ Qntal will present "Keyboard Heroes", with music featuring noted pianists. Last week, Qntal played a beautiful selection of music for the regular Love Songs and Lingerie event on the Big Bed at Venus Bean.
DJ Bea plays an eclectic mix of rock, blues and jazz on Monday mornings at 9 am SLT. This Monday, Bea says "Got strange this time .... rockabilly and country .... with some exceptions."
DJ Cerydwen continues her journey into the best decades of contemporary music with 80s Night at 5 pm SLT Monday. Lots of favorites, but always something new to discover from the decade that keeps on giving.
DJ Avion spins tunes old and new, by artists legendary and obscure, when we get beachy for Tiki Toosday at 5 pm SLT. We currently alternate between the VB Pool and Surf's Up, which will be the venue for next Tuesday's event.
DJ Cerydwen presents Symphonic and Goth metal on Wednesdays at 5 pm SLT, in her latex and leather dungeon. Great music in a perfect setting for an absorbing and compelling genre of music.
