Bea's This Week in VB II
Last week on Sunday evening we headed into the deep south where DJ Avion played rockabilly and country music with a Southern flavor in the Rednekkid Bar and Grill Still. Redneck finery was to the fore!
This week's Sunday morning Celtic Sunrise is in temporary hiatus while DJ Qntal takes a well-deserved break; regular transmission will resume the following Sunday. Last week Qntal played music from artists she wishes she had been able to see in live performances.
DJ Bea plays an eclectic mix of rock, blues and jazz on Monday mornings at 9 am SLT. This Monday, Bea says "This past week was the 50th anniversary of Bruce Springsteen auditioning at Columbia records. It was also Bob Seger's birthday. We'll celebrate these milestones for two members of what one critic called The Heartland Poets' Association."
DJ Cerydwen continues her journey into the best decades of contemporary music with 80s Night at 5 pm SLT Monday. Lots of favorites, but always something new to discover from the decade that keeps on giving.
DJ Avion spins tunes old and new, by artists legendary and obscure, when we get beachy for Tiki Toosday at 5 pm SLT. We currently alternate between the VB Pool and Surf's Up, which will be the venue for next Tuesday's event.
DJ Cerydwen presents Symphonic and Goth metal on Wednesdays at 5 pm SLT, in her latex and leather dungeon. Great music in a perfect setting for an absorbing and compelling genre of music.
This week on Thursday at 5 pm slt, DJ Sara continues her new career with a selection of rock tunes from the 1970s on.
