For this week's event at 4 pm SLT Sunday the Class of 2021 gathers for Prom Night, harking back to the end of high school and to a time when gowns fitted without the use of alpha layers. Formal attire is suggested, but as always feel free to come as you are.
Bea's This Week in VB II
Last Sunday evening DJ Bea played a selection of blues from a variety of artists and styles. Guests wore bluesy/denimy outfits while the Venus Beat Blues Club provided fitting decor for the music.
This week's Sunday morning Celtic Sunrise is yet to be determined, and will be advised in group notices. Last week, DJ Qntal took a well-deserved camping break now that the Canadian wintry deep freeze is ending!
DJ Bea plays an eclectic mix of rock, blues and jazz on Monday mornings at 9 am SLT. This Monday, Bea says "Gonna visit with the Mamas & the Papas, and John Phillips, and some Lovin' Spoonful, and some other stuff of that ilk."
DJ Cerydwen continues her journey into the best decades of contemporary music with 80s Night at 5 pm SLT Monday. Lots of favorites, but always something new to discover from the decade that keeps on giving.
DJ Avion spins tunes old and new, by artists legendary and obscure, when we get beachy for Tiki Toosday at 5 pm SLT. We currently alternate between Surf's Up and the VB Pool, which will be the venue for next Tuesday's event.
DJ Cerydwen presents Symphonic and Goth metal on Wednesdays at 5 pm SLT, in her latex and leather dungeon. Great music in a perfect setting for an absorbing and compelling genre of music.
This week on Thursday at 5 pm slt, DJ Sara continues to play a great mix of rock tunes from the 1970s onwards, covering arguably the best decades of modern music.
On Fridays at 5 pm SLT, DJ Cerydwen presents a different weekly musical theme. This week we make a second visit to The Dungeon where the theme will be BDSM (Bondage, Discipline, Sadism and Masochism) in The Dungeon .... get daring and get kinky! Last week, Cerydwen presented Live Music, a selection of tunes from live performances, often more energetic than carefully crafted studio productions.
