Get your kicks on Route 66 this Sunday at 4 pm SLT at the VB II Race Track, where DJ Avion will be playing travel-related music ... take a spin around the track in or on one of the dozens of rezzable vehicles. Dress suggestions might be traveller, bikini car wash girl, pump attendant, hitchhiker, let your imagination run free as a (T-) bird.
Bea's This Week in VB II
Last Sunday evening the Class of 2022 gathered in the marquee for the end-of-high-school prom. Guests danced in an array of beautiful gowns to music about endings, new beginnings and friendships.
This week's Sunday morning Celtic Sunrise will not be held as DJ Qntal is unavailable, but will return the following Sunday with a deferred Love Songs & Lingerie set. Last week, Qntal played an excellent mix of Celtic Rock and traditional music.
DJ Bea plays an eclectic mix of rock, blues and jazz on Monday mornings at 9 am SLT. This Monday, Bea will present "two new to me albums, by Elmore James and Roy Buchanan, plus more stuff to tie it all together."
DJ Cerydwen continues her journey into the best decades of contemporary music with 80s Night at 5 pm SLT Monday. Lots of favorites, but always something new to discover from the decade that keeps on giving.
DJ Avion spins tunes old and new, by artists legendary and obscure, when we get beachy for Tiki Toosday at 5 pm SLT. We currently alternate between the VB Pool and Surf's Up, which will be the venue for next Tuesday's event.
DJ Cerydwen presents Symphonic and Goth metal on Wednesdays at 5 pm SLT, in her latex and leather dungeon. Great music in a perfect setting for an absorbing and compelling genre of music.
This week on Thursday at 5 pm slt, DJ Sara continues to play a great mix of rock tunes from the 1970s onwards, covering arguably the best decades of modern music.
On Fridays at 5 pm SLT, DJ Cerydwen presents a different weekly musical theme. This week we strap into our straitjackets and check ourselves into the VB Asylum where, in view of the insanity gripping the world, Cerydwen will play music related to madness, lunacy and dementia. Suggested attire? Whatever panders to your neuroses! Last week, we made a second visit to The Dungeon where Cerydwen presented BDSM (Bondage, Discipline, Sadism and Masochism).
