Last Sunday evening DJ Bea presented a mix of classic and more modern swing and jazz, in the Honeysuckle Rose venue. Swing era attire with a 1930s/40s look was in evidence for many of the guests.
For this week's Celtic Sunrise at 5 am SLT Sunday, DJ Qntal will play a set of country and western music, in the VB Barn. Last week Qntal presented the regular end-of-month Love Songs and Lingerie with a great selection of smooth romantic songs.
DJ Bea plays an eclectic mix of rock, blues and jazz on Monday mornings at 9 am SLT. This Monday Bea says "... this set started as a Ramsey Lewis tribute, and then sorta grew like Topsy. Several Lewis tunes - several by Dionne Warwick - and a bunch of other stuff." Who is Ramsey Lewis you might ask (as your blogger had to)? A noted American jazz composer, pianist and radio personality - so there!
DJ Cerydwen continues her journey into the best decades of contemporary music with 80s Night at 5 pm SLT Monday. Lots of favorites, but always something new to discover from the decade that keeps on giving and surprising.
DJ Avion spins tunes old and new, by artists legendary and obscure, when we get beachy for Tiki Toosday at 5 pm SLT. We currently alternate between the VB Pool and Surf's Up, which will be the venue for next Tuesday's event.
DJ Cerydwen presents Metal Night on Wednesdays at 5 pm SLT, in her latex and leather dungeon. Great music in a perfect setting for an absorbing and compelling genre of music.
This week on Thursday at 5 pm slt, DJ Sara continues to play a great mix of rock tunes from the 1970s onwards, covering arguably the best decades of modern music.
