This week we dance to the beat of the big bands on Sunday at 4 pm SLT when DJ Bea presents classic swing artists in the Honeysuckle Rose venue. Attire may be swing era, 1930s/40s, deco or just classy, but don't forget your dancing shoes!
Bea's This Week in VB II
Last Sunday we boarded the pirate ship Booty to celebrate International Talk Like a Pirate Day. A wonderful array of piratical attire was accompanied by nautical music from DJ Avion.
For this week's Celtic Sunrise at 5 am SLT Sunday, DJ Qntal will present the regular end-of-month Love Songs and Lingerie on the Big Bed at Venus Bean. Last week, Qntal played music by Australian and New Zealand artists .... some unknown even to the two Australians present!
DJ Bea plays an eclectic mix of rock, blues and jazz on Monday mornings at 9 am SLT. This Monday Bea says "To mark the end of astronomical summer in the Northern Hemisphere, I will have a beach party with some summer tunes thrown in."
DJ Cerydwen continues her journey into the best decades of contemporary music with 80s Night at 5 pm SLT Monday. Lots of favorites, but always something new to discover from the decade that keeps on giving and surprising.
DJ Avion spins tunes old and new, by artists legendary and obscure, when we get beachy for Tiki Toosday at 5 pm SLT. We currently alternate between Surf's Up and the VB Pool, which will be the venue for next Tuesday's event.
DJ Cerydwen presents Metal Night on Wednesdays at 5 pm SLT, in her latex and leather dungeon. Great music in a perfect setting for an absorbing and compelling genre of music.
This week on Thursday at 5 pm slt, DJ Sara continues to play a great mix of rock tunes from the 1970s onwards, covering arguably the best decades of modern music. Last week, DJ Cerydwen kindly took over the stream when Sara had technical difficulties.
