Last Sunday evening we borrowed the Batcave and donned capes, leotards and similar costumery to celebrate superheroes and their arch-rivals. Guests displayed an amazing array of outfits while dancing to theme music provided by DJ Avion.
For this week's Celtic Sunrise at 5 am SLT Sunday, DJ Qntal will play a set of romantic music in keeping with the imminent Valentine's Day. Last week Qntal presented "Guitar Heroes", featuring some of rock's best guitarists.
DJ Bea plays an eclectic mix of rock, blues and jazz on Monday mornings at 9 am SLT. This Monday Bea says "I was rolling along on this nice folk/rock Jimmy Buffet/Grateful Dead thing - and then, somehow, some bossa nova got in to finish the set."
DJ Cerydwen continues her journey into the best decades of contemporary music with 80s Night at 5 pm SLT Monday. Lots of favorites, but always something new to discover from the decade that keeps on giving and surprising.
DJ Avion spins tunes old and new, by artists legendary and obscure, when we get beachy for Tiki Toosday at 5 pm SLT. We currently alternate between Surf's Up and the VB Pool, which will be the venue for next Tuesday's event.
DJ Cerydwen presents Hard Rock and Metal Night on Wednesdays at 5 pm SLT, in her latex and leather dungeon. Great music in a perfect setting for an absorbing and compelling genre of music.
This week on Thursday at 5 pm slt, DJ Amber will play a mix of soft rock tunes from the 1970s onwards, covering arguably the best decades of modern music.
