Va-va-voom in Moulin Rouge

This Sunday at 4 pm SLT we travel to Gay Paree and into the iconic Moulin Rouge cabaret. Dress youself as a showgirl, burlesque artiste, lady of the night, or anyone with a French twist, or just come as yourself and enjoy the show.

Last Sunday evening we danced to a lively mix of mostly classic swing tunes from DJ Bea, in the Honeysuckle Rose venue. Swing era attire with a 1940s swimsuit/pinup theme was in evidence for many of the guests.

For this week's Celtic Sunrise at 5 am SLT, DJ Qntal will present part 2 of music from the British Isles, following on from last Sunday's engaging set of well-known and lesser known tunes.

DJ Bea plays an eclectic mix of rock, blues and jazz on Monday mornings at 9 am SLT. This Monday, Bea says "This is kind of a strange set ... gonna play some early Jefferson Airplane to show how they changed between their first two albums ... and then some blues ... I hope it works!" 

DJ Cerydwen continues her journey into the best decades of contemporary music with 80s Night at 5 pm SLT Monday. Always lots of favorites, as well as music you've rarely or never heard before.

DJ Avion spins tunes old and new, by artists legendary and obscure, when we get beachy for Tiki Toosday at 5 pm SLT. We currently alternate between the VB Pool and Surf's Up, which will be the venue for next Tuesday's event.

DJ Cerydwen presents Symphonic and Goth metal on Wednesdays at 5 pm SLT, in her latex and leather dungeon. Great music in a perfect setting for an oft-overlooked but compelling genre of music.

On Fridays at 5 pm SLT, DJ Cerydwen plays a musical theme that usually takes place in one of a variety of special venues. This week, Cerydwen will play music related to cars and fast driving at the Last Chance Toxico gas station on the VB Racetrack. Dress suggestions might be race driver, traveller, grease monkey, bikini car wash girl or simply a spectator. Last week Cerydwen entertained us with Part 2 of Japanese anime, with guests displaying some very cute costumes!
