Event Wrap Up!! ~ Halloween Party.

One of our most impressive sets, )yet another Avion desgin, naturally! ~ not that i'm biased!) was rezzed the other day for our Halloween Party. 

It's a great set, with some great textures, and shall we say, "interactive" features, lol.

You may have noticed some spooky additions to the main sim during Halloween! So, Happy Halloween, and here are some pics of the event and that great set, for those who where able to make it, and of course, those who missed it!

Venus Beach II's Hidden Places - The Southern Hill

Follow the yellow brick road down to the far South of our two sims (okay! I know it's not yellow, but it sounds good, doesn't it?) and you'll find our Great Southern Land!
The long pathway has to end somewhere, and we saved some of the best hidden places for the end of the road!
The Southern Hill has been around for ages, but have you been there? It sticks out behind the dance floor... ever cammed up there? 
Well, now's the time to go visit these places!

The first little sight you'll see is the little cottage. I won't ruin it by telling you what's inside it - only to say it's our oldest cottage, and it's a little gem :) Remember - unless it says 'Keep Out' all our houses are open to the public..

Once you find the pathway that appears from the bed of flowers, you'll see a few more discreet little spots. You'll find a fire-pit (one of three throughout our sims), and a little cliff top bench, with a singles pose (we try to cater for everyone here!) 
I rekon the fire pit looks pretty cool from the angle that I got this snapshot on!!

At this point, if you haven't already, put your viewer on to 'sunset' and turn the music stream off, and put on the ambient sounds. You'll hear the gentle rustle of the wind, and that summer time grasshopper sound, really divine!

Beyond the firepit, you'll find a tower on the right, and ahead of you, the summit. The summit contains two meditation poses, a truly great place to chill, and look over Venus Beach II. I'm sitting right at this point doing this blog!!

The weather tower has a great view, too. It's something a bit different. It's a bit plain just now, but we plan to enhance it a bit in the future, it has a few poses, so feel free to check it out!

Venus Beach's hidden Places - Part 4 of 6

Hello again fellow beach bums!

How did you all go finding the hidden tent spot from the other day? Did you try it out? was it worth it? could be improved? Comments please peeps!

Today our latest hidden place is really just that, Hidden - well hidden, I am proud to say. It's actually the sort of place that you wouldn't know was there unless you stumbled across it by pure mistake, which of course is part of the beauty if it :)

When you do find it, you'll find the quietest stretch of 'coast' within our sims, some poses, and a great ocean view, with the wilderness areas of VBII behind you...

It's well worth a visit, I spend lots of time there, cos I am pretty darn well hidden!

We're still banging the old 'we have a 1/4 sim for rent' here at Venus Beach II - cos it's still for the taking. Seems land is pretty slow to sell in the current climate within Second Life.

Venus Beach II's Hidden Places - Part 3

In the third on the series of "Hidden Places" I'm going to take you to yet another little known spot within our two sims. I'm not going to tell you where they are ~ part of the challenge is to find the place for yourself!

Today's spot is put quite simply "A Tent" however, it's a tent with a view (Yep, thats a clue!). Really cosy place to watch the sunset, or enjoy some privacy in the beautiful surrounds of the Venus Beach II sims.

So, look at the pics, picture where it is, and go and enjoy it! We'd love to see any pictures you have of you and your special friend there, so please do send them on to me!

Venus Beach II's hidden places ~ Part 2

Today I have travelled to the edge of the sim to show you what is one of the least most visited parts of our community. The spot doesn't really have a name, but the area is known as the 'Venus Beach Peninsula' At the end of this 'Peninsula' is a little jetty, and at the end you'll find a little floating lounge room, complete with couples and singles poses, a yoga pose, and some candles. Add to that the ambient sounds of the wind and water, a great view when your viewer is switched to sunset, and the lighthouse nearby, it all makes this a great spot, in a rather unique area of our Venus Beach Sim..

Venus Beach II Event Pics

The last week has seen a flurry of themed events at Venus Beach II. On Friday, we had the Country and Western themed event in the Venus Gardens Sim. Our Friday event kicks off at 4am SLT, a bit early for those from the U.S., but a good time for others to join in.

We also had  the Indian Themed event. The famous Indian set was rezzed, (it hits the trees in the lagoon at the back!) and we had a night with a truly Indian theme, clothing and all!

If that wasn't enough, DJ Avion played some great beats on Monday with the Playboy event. The Playboy mansion (lol) was rezzed - (No! Not the real one!, our mini version!)and we all dressed up in our favourite bunny outfits to have some fun.
Lets not also not forget the Pool Party on Sunday, which is a weekly themed event!

Venus Beach II's hidden places - Part 1.

Beyond the dance floor there is a world of two sims, and each little area has it's distinctive theme. I thought of doing a series on the hidden places at VBII.... and I challenge you to find each spot!.

There are so many places to be alone, or with that special someone at Venus Beach II.. The sims are often peaceful, quiet and reflective places. Today I took a picture of me at the "Old Tree Stump" hidden deep in the Venus Gardens Sim..

These places are there to be explored.. don't forget each January we do a rebuild... so these little spots might be gone forever if you don't go explore soon!!

Back after holidays

Hi there girls...

I'm back inworld, and online with the blog, after my extended break overseas in Europe. Myself and my family had a great, if not expensive holiday, but we really enjoyed ourselves. We visited some great spots, including the UK (to see family), Denmark, and also Germany and France. For me the highlight was visiting Germany, a place I have learnt so much about over the years - and of course, when in France, one goes to Euro Disney, that was a holiday within a holiday!

I'm getting back to blogging now... Any ideas please let me know.. and if you have any pictures from Venus Beach II, please send them on to me, and I'll try my best to get them on this blog! (No nudity!!)
