Pride Month in June recognizes and honors the LGBTQ among us and those of us who support them, a consistent theme of VB II since its founding. For our event at 4 pm SLT Sunday, DJ Avion will play themely tunes while we display our choice of rainbow attire.
Bea's This Week in VB II
Last Sunday evening the Class of 2021 gathered in the marquee for the end-of-high-school prom. Guests danced in an array of beautiful gowns to music about endings, new beginnings and friendships, provided by DJ Cerydwen and still-can't-tell-time DJ Avion.
For this week's Celtic Sunrise at 5 am SLT, DJ Qntal will play a selection of Celtic music in the Irish pub venue. Last week, in Qntal's absence, DJ Avion presented the regular end of month Love Songs and Lingerie, on the Big Bed at Venus Bean.
DJ Bea plays an eclectic mix of rock, blues and jazz on Monday mornings at 9 am SLT. This Monday, Bea will play ".... another sort of hodge-podgy whatever, with a fair amount of more laid-back sounds, but very cross-genre."
DJ Cerydwen continues her journey into the best decades of contemporary music with 80s Night at 5 pm SLT Monday. Always lots of favorites, as well as music you've rarely or never heard before.
DJ Avion spins tunes old and new, by artists legendary and obscure, when we get beachy for Tiki Toosday at 5 pm SLT. We currently alternate between Surf's Up and the VB Pool, which will be the venue for next Tuesday's event.
DJ Cerydwen presents Symphonic and Goth metal on Wednesdays at 5 pm SLT, in her latex and leather dungeon. Great music in a perfect setting for an oft-overlooked but compelling genre of music.
On Fridays at 5 pm SLT, DJ Cerydwen plays a musical theme that often takes place in one of the special venues. This week, Cerydwen will present music to celebrate World Environment Day, a United Nations initiative to promote world-wide awareness and action to protect our environment. Possible attire .... tree? solar panel? maybe just go green! Last week Cerydwen entertained us with songs from the 1990s, a period which featured a new mix of musical sounds.
