Last week on Sunday evening at 4 pm SLT, we bravely ventured to the treetops of Darkest SL for two hours of jungly jingles by DJ Avion. Guests provided an amazing array of thematic outfits for our viewing pleasure.
The other African Queen
For this week's Celtic Sunrise at 5am SLT, DJ Qntal will present Celtic and romantic music in the medieval castle. Last week was the regular end-of-month Love Songs and Lingerie on the Big Bed at Venus Bean, with a beautiful selection of songs courtesy of DJ Shelly.
DJ Bea plays an eclectic mix of rock, blues and jazz on Monday mornings at 9 am SLT. This Monday, Bea says "This set started with some Dionne Warwick, and sort of turned into this jazzy/bluesy female vocalist thing."
DJ Cerydwen continues her journey into the best decades of contemporary music with 80s Night at 5 pm SLT Monday. Always lots of favorites, as well as music you've rarely or never heard before.
DJ Avion spins tunes old and new, by artists legendary and obscure, when we get beachy for Tiki Toosday at 5 pm SLT. We currently alternate between the VB Pool and Surf's Up, which will be the venue for next Tuesday's event.
DJ Cerydwen presents Symphonic and Goth metal on Wednesdays at 5 pm SLT, in her latex and leather dungeon. Great music in a perfect setting for an oft-overlooked but compelling genre of music.
On Fridays at 5 pm SLT, DJ Cerydwen plays a musical theme that often takes place in one of the special venues. This week, Cerydwen will present spaced-out tunes aboard the Star Trek themed USS Boobyprize. Last week Cerydwen played music with a Doctors and Nurses motif in the VB Hospital, in recognition of the medical personnel who have lost their own lives while caring for Covid-19 victims.
