For this week's event at 4 pm SLT Sunday we teleport up to the Death Star to celebrate Star Wars Day, and all forms of science fiction. We have to wait until 2025 before May the Fourth falls on a Sunday, but we'll get as close as we can until then. Star Wars costumes are welcome, as is any other sort of sci-fi attire. Or come as you are.
Bea's This Week in VB II
Last week on Sunday evening we celebrated St George's Day (England's national day) in the King's Head pub where DJ Avion played music by English artists. The traditional colors of St George in Union Flag and other forms, and of course a dragon slayer, dominated the clothing worn.
For this week's Celtic Sunrise at 5 am SLT, DJ Qntal will play some rockin' Celtic music in a venue to be selected (okay, I forgot to ask!). Last week, Qntal presented the regular end-of month Love Songs and Lingerie on the Big Bed at Venus Bean, with a beautiful selection of Celtic and romantic tunes.
DJ Bea plays an eclectic mix of rock, blues and jazz on Monday mornings at 9 am SLT. This Monday, Bea saysy "It's this sort of confused set that doesn't know if it is doing 60s or 90s or maybe a bit of both."
DJ Cerydwen continues her journey into the best decades of contemporary music with 80s Night at 5 pm SLT Monday. Always lots of favorites, as well as music you've rarely or never heard before.
DJ Avion spins tunes old and new, by artists legendary and obscure, when we get beachy for Tiki Toosday at 5 pm SLT. We currently alternate between the VB Pool and Surf's Up, which will be the venue for next Tuesday's event.
DJ Cerydwen presents Symphonic and Goth metal on Wednesdays at 5 pm SLT, in her latex and leather dungeon. Great music in a perfect setting for an oft-overlooked but compelling genre of music.
On Fridays at 5 pm SLT, DJ Cerydwen plays a musical theme that often takes place in one of the special venues. This week we move to the VB Barn for a farming and country flavored Dairy Tails theme. Topical attire might include farmer, hillbilly, or clothing with a Friesian milker motif. Last week Cerydwen took us on a Fantasy musical journey inside the new Magic Mushroom, where guests came as an array of mythical figures.
