Last Sunday evening was the occasion of our annual observance of Star Wars Day, celebrating all forms of science fiction in the appropriate environs of the Death Star. An array of terrific costumes were topped off by the presence of Emperor Palpatine - evil, but a great dancer!
This Sunday's 5 am Celtic Sunrise will be in hiatus while the Le Mew Le Purr team of DJs Qntal and Shelly perform at the Women's Alliance marathon, but will return the following week. Last week, DJ Qntal spun music by female artists at at "Girls' Morning Out".
New Kit on the Block - Kitten's Vincent
DJ Bea plays an eclectic set of rock, blues and jazz on Monday mornings at 9 am SLT. This Monday Bea will be playing "the last of the hodge-podge, and a short belated tribute to Pete Seeger".
DJ JoAnn continues her journey into the best decades of contemporary music with 80s Night at 5 pm SLT Monday. Always something rarely or never heard before, as well as lots of favorites.
DJ Avion spins tunes old and new, by artists legendary and obscure, when we gather for Tiki Toosday at 5 pm SLT in a variety of locations on the two VB II sims. This week we will be back in the VB Pool after going underground in the Neon Palms cave last week.
DJ JoAnn presents Symphonic and Goth metal on Wednesdays at 5 pm SLT in her latex and leather dungeon, now a permanent fixture on the Beach sim (use the teleport board on the wall of the landing hut). Dress is optional, but think latex and leather to match the decor.
Fridays at 5 pm SLT DJ JoAnn plays a musical theme that often takes place in one of the special venues. This week's theme will be Doctors and Nurses featuring music relating to the medical profession, in the Venus Beach II hospital. Last week's part two of Colors saw prismatic attire with music to match.
