Pride Month in June recognizes and honors the LGBTQ among us and those of us who support them, a consistent theme of VB II since its founding. For our event at 4 pm SLT Sunday, DJ Avion will play themely tunes while we display our choice of rainbow attire.
Bea's This Week in VB II
Last Sunday evening we got our kicks on Route 66 at the Last Chance Toxico gas station where DJ Avion played music about travel and the open road.
For this week's Celtic Sunrise at 5 am SLT, DJ Qntal will present a deferred regular end-of-month Love Songs and Lingerie on the Big Bed at Venus Bean. No event was held last week while Qntal took advantage of the short Canadian camping season.
DJ Bea plays an eclectic mix of rock, blues and jazz on Monday mornings at 9 am SLT. This Monday, Bea says "Going to listen to some music from my home state of Michigan."
DJ Cerydwen continues her journey into the best decades of contemporary music with 80s Night at 5 pm SLT Monday. Lots of favorites, but always something new to discover from the decade that keeps on giving.
DJ Avion spins tunes old and new, by artists legendary and obscure, when we get beachy for Tiki Toosday at 5 pm SLT. We currently alternate between Surf's Up and the VB Pool, which will be the venue for next Tuesday's event.
DJ Cerydwen presents Symphonic and Goth metal on Wednesdays at 5 pm SLT, in her latex and leather dungeon. Great music in a perfect setting for an absorbing and compelling genre of music.
This week on Thursday at 5 pm slt, DJ Sara continues to play a great mix of rock tunes from the 1970s onwards, covering arguably the best decades of modern music.
On Fridays at 5 pm SLT, DJ Cerydwen presents a different weekly musical theme. This week, Cerydwen will present music to celebrate World Environment Day, a United Nations initiative to promote world-wide awareness and action to protect our environment. Possible attire .... tree? show some bush? maybe just go green! Last week, in tune with the continuing madness of the times, we placed ourselves in isolation in the VB Asylum to protect against the loonies in the world outside.
