What a place!

Calas Galadhon might not be a word that easily slips off the tongue when looking for a place to visit in Second Life. But, i tell you, it's well worth a visit.

It's part of an 11-sim parkland, with sims named after the J.R. Tolkien books.  The sims are the brainchild of Tymus Tenk and Truck Meredith, and wow! What a job they have done!

This is not just your everyday run of the mill sims. These are totally awesome sims! Trust me. These sims will take you weeks to explore throughly. When i want to be alone, or be alone with someone special, this is the place I go.

From mountain woodland, to oceans, open mansions, small huts, caves, towers, towns, lakes, the list goes on and on... what more can I say? It's somewhere you have to see to believe! And whats more, it seems to be a bit of a secret, it's often really nice and quiet!.

As you wonder the sims (flying is not allowed) you'll find a ballon ride ( a great way to see the park), and choices of nemourous paths to take. Poses abound. If you can get your draw distance up pretty high, you'll get some great snapshots too. The caves (below) are a pretty unique experience...

They theme the place with snow in winter, golden leaves in fall, and summer flowered meadows, the landscape is always changing...

The weather tower is a great place to be a 'Loner!' (pics below). Turn on ambient sounds to listen to wind around you.. :)

After the weather tower, we wondered along the path for a few minutes and came across a creek- as always, looks real. We followed it for a while!...

Here we visited just two of the sims, there are many more to enjoy.. I hope this gives you a taster to visit...
